Who is this event For?
This a high school track meet for athletes in Grades 9-12. There are opportunities for all ability levels — from first time competitors to those looking for national qualifiers.
How many events can an athlete compete in?
Each athlete may compete in up to three events.
Will wavelights be used for pacing?
Yes! This event will utilize wavelight technology for the 600 meters, 1000 meters, 1 mile, 2 mile and varsity 4x400 and 4x800 sections to help athletes achieve various time benchmarks, including national qualifiers and personal/season bests.
How does an Athlete qualify for an Invitational Section?
There will be special invitational sections of the 200m and Two Mile.
200m Qualifying: To compete in the Invitational 200m, an athlete must have run 22.80 or faster (boys) or 26.60 or faster (girls) during the Spring 24 Outdoor Season or Current 24/25 Indoor Season.
Two Mile Qualifying: To compete in the Invitational Two Mile, an athlete must have run one of the qualifying times below during the Spring 24 Outdoor Season, Current 24/25 Indoor Season, or 2024 XC season:
Boys: 9:05 3k, 9:45 3200m, 9:50 2 mile, 15:45 XC 5k
Girls: 10:58 3k, 11:45 3200m, 11:50 2 mile, 19:00 XC 5K
Are there Awards?
All athletes who finish top 6 in their section will receive awards. There will also be an award for the top varsity teams, and special awards for the overall winners in each Varsity section.
when will the opening heights be determined?
Opening heights for High Jump (HJ) and Pole Vault (PV) will be provided in the final information packet available on September 10th.
Will every throw and jump be measured?
Details on measurements for throws and jumps will be included in the final information packet released on September 10. Generally, the first jump/throw for every athlete will be measured, and subsequent attempts must meet a minimum distance to be measured.
